One of the first computers out (and I had one of the first group I believe) was the TRS-80 - a very simple z80 system from Radio Shack - released first 40 years ago today.

  I remember how much trouble I would get from the cassette tape storage method.  I had a repair business and did a simple BASIC program to store and keep information on jobs. First thing in the mornings, I would fire up the computer and then load the program, then load the data.  Some days that might take more than one try and by the time my files were getting bigger it was a 10 minute load or more..  Ah.. if only we had had USB flash drives... lol
